FX has, unsurprisingly, renewed “Sons of Anarchy” for a fifth season.
Sons of Anarchy will finish off season four with episode 11 running for an extended 90 minutes, and episode 12 running for 90 minutes or potentially even two hours, it has been announced that FX has renewed Sons Of Anarchy for season five.
The motorcycle club drama remains the cable channel’s highest-rated series and is having its most-watched season yet. To date, season 4 is averaging 5.8 million viewers overall, and 3.9 million viewers in the 18-49 year-old demographic, which are up 30% and 26%, respectively, over season 3.
Sutter has said he envisions a seven-season arc for the series, making the current season the midway point. And with this renewal, the show is getting closer to fulfilling that vision.
FX president John Landgraf made an announcement about extending Sons Of Anarchy, saying:
Everyone at FX is very grateful to Kurt Sutter, his many writing, directing and producing collaborators and his masterful cast for making such a compelling and beautifully crafted show… It is no small challenge to bring the themes of a great, ancient play like Hamlet into a wholly original television setting and to tell this complex story in a way that is both riveting and accessible to a broad audience.
Check out Sons Of Anarchy Tuesday Nights at 10pm on FX
Based on the Marvel character, stunt motorcyclist Johnny Blaze gives up his soul to become a hellblazing vigilante, to fight against power hungry Blackheart, the son of the devil himself.

More than 300,000 people visit the Full Throttle during the annual event, where Ballard and his team are pressured to make a year’s salary in a short time window, all while providing patrons an experience they will not forget. The Light Cycle.
This is the illuminated, street-legal motorcycle inspired by the computer animated cycle from the 2010 film Tron: Legacy. Designed for casual cruising and slow ride-bys at shows, it is made from a steel frame covered by a fiberglass cowling that replicates the sleek look of its computer-generated imagery counterpart. Electroluminescent strips built into the tire cowlings, wheel rims, and body illuminate the cycle. It is powered by a fuel-injected Suzuki 996cc, 4-stroke engine. Riders lay at a near-horizontal position astride the padded leather seat, with feet on foot pegs that control its 6-speed constant mesh manual transmission and hands on the handlebars for throttle and braking. The hubless wheels are former truck tires built up then custom-shaped to fit onto one of two counter-rotating rims spinning within each other, providing the broad-tired authenticity of the computer cycles from the movie. A chain-driven friction drum manages acceleration and braking from the handlebars. It has spring-loaded front and rigid rear suspension. Its wet sump lubrication system eliminates tubes and hoses for oil pick-up, facilitating its streamlined, minimalist design. It uses a 3 1/2-gallon main fuel tank and 1 1/4-gallon reserve tank. All cycles are built to order. 8 1/2′ L x 23 1/4″ W x 28 1/2″ H. (474 lbs.)
